In 2011, the crew of RUNNER set out on an epic festival tour from coast-to-coast and back. Director, Nic Reader and Producer James Madison organized the tour along with, at times, 20 other crew members and Expressway faithful. The highly acclaimed short film has already premiered on both coasts and is set to play at numerous other festivals including the California premiere at the Santa Catalina Film Festival
and a New England Premiere at Nantucket.
RUNNER premiered simultaneously on both coasts when it screened on the shores of the Garden State Film Festival and the mountain tops of Vail Film Festival. The film premiered at almost the same time hundreds of miles apart on Saturday, April 2nd 2011.
In Vail, the film was so well received that for the first time, the festival was forced to turn people away from a short film block. In order to accommodate the audience, 25 extra seats were brought in and people were sitting on the floor and standing in the back before the doors were closed.
