James Madison started Expressway Productions with Nicholas Reader to create independent films that were interesting and challenging and to help others do the same. 

As a producer and project manager with Expressway  Productions he brings years of experience from both Independent and studio films to each job.  His creative approach to organization and coordination through collaboration has helped shape the ideology of Expressway over the years. 

Coming up through the ranks in Philadelphia’s film industry, he and Nicholas have created a network of talented independent filmmakers that makes up the foundation of their company. 

With the crew agency and the projects that he produces, James’ goal is to strengthen the independent film community and continue to create exciting and significant films.
